Students offer a fresh perspective: a view of the world as it is, not as it should be or has been. This is invaluable to me; it never disappoints. I frequently discuss a text with my class, and somewhat unexpectedly, I also become the pupil. In these moments, where students often share personal journeys—both the successes and the failures—it is I who am blessed by them.
